What students are saying
I have had the privilege of participating in many of Stacy's yoga classes. Her clarity in teaching inspires peace of mind as well as physical health. My work as a calligraphy artist is physically taxing and following her practices has provided meaningful relief.

I began working with Stacy in the Winter of 2019. Having already practiced yoga for a few years, I was searching for someone to help me get deeper in my practice both physically and mentally and Stacy has been just the person to guide me gracefully in both. I am always eager to attend her classes as I learn something new each time, and continue to grow on the mat and off.
Bonus: she has really great class playlists!

Resuming yoga with Stacy six weeks after my life saving brain surgery helped with my recovery and healing. She was mindful of my moyamoya disease and was supportive in any way she could be. She offered adjustments specific to my needs as well as modifications for poses I had restrictions to prior to my diagnosis and surgery. I loved taking class with her because she got to know many of our outside interests and occupations, and also encouraged us to build community. I always appreciated her sense of humor and style of teaching because she made it accesible, regardless of a student’s practice level.

Stacy’s patient, attentive teaching style makes yoga class a joy. Her clear instruction makes moving through the flow of poses very accessible. I especially appreciated the adjustments she gave me and felt like she put me on a path to finding the fullest expression of a pose as I was capable of on a given day, this was especially important for me as I have a condition, ankylosing spondylitis, that limits my mobility in my lower-to-mid back. Stacy also takes a personal interest in and is great at building a sense of community among her students.

Stacy’s class is the only class I want to take! She is so genuine, kind, and encouraging, and pushes me to improve my practice like an old friend that nudges you to challenge yourself because they want what’s best for you.

Stacy is a wonderful teacher who meets you where you are in your practice and supports you in growing and pushing it forward. Stacy's thoughtful progression of poses during the class builds towards getting into a pose that you may not have thought you could have done at the beginning of the class. Her demos are broken down into different levels so that you can try wherever you are comfortable, including modifications and suggestions for using props to support you. Her clear directions and adjustments helped me learn about proper alignment for each pose. My practice grew so much with Stacy as my teacher because her warm and playful nature made me feel safe and supported in challenging myself to try new poses or to think more deeply about ones I already knew. She greeted me before class with a smile and a genuine care about how I was doing that day and thanked me for practicing with her at the end of every class. I also enjoyed practicing alongside Stacy in other teacher's classes because it made me feel like she was a learner and lover of yoga.

I have practiced yoga on and off for 20 years, and I always attended with the same philosophy: You arrive at the studio, take your class, say Namaste, leave. The more classes you take, the closer you get to that pose you always wanted to do. Simple.
One day I showed up to Stacy’s class, and she gave the craziest suggestion. She said, “Introduce yourself to the person next to you.” I was so thrown off my game, but I did it. I met two people that day, and in that, I learned the value of community. With Stacy’s encouragement, I now know many people at the studio and this has helped deepen my practice. I am no longer concerned with what pose I can do because I found out the real “lift” is from my connection with others. We cheer each other when we succeed, and we comfort each other when we fail. Sure, taking Stacy’s class is fun and challenging, and you will indeed become more flexible, strong, and grounded. However, what good is that if you can’t share it with anyone?
I never understood why Yoga meant “union” until now. Thanks, Stacy.
